I really need some help with ideas and sizes etc.... up until now Ive only made 8 inch rounds, and once I did a 6 inch round for my stacked cake.

Anyway this coming Sunday my sister in law is blessing her twins at church (Boy & Girl), kind of like a christening. I volunteered to make a cake, cause Im obsessed right now and offering cakes here there and everywhere cause I need practice LOL.

It needs to feed 30-40 people.... shape? size?

Im blank for ideas! Im still learning and limited in decorating right now, has anyone got some simple ideas/suggestions for the cakes? I was thinking white basketweave may be nice, but I haven't learnt it yet so would have to teach myself-- is it easy enough? Then maybe some blue & pink roses on top??? I dunno.... Help me!!!

Only thing is no crosses...

You could use one of the book pans and write a blessing on it . . . maybe something from the ceremony that will be read with the babies names and wishes for them. Then just decorate around with simple borders.

You could do two small sheet cakes cut into shapes. Do one as a blessing dress and do another as a little blessing jumper. There are some cute dresses online and I don't think a jumper would be that hard. Each one made out of a 9x13 should work.

If you know what they are going to wear, you could imitate their clothes. I have a picture in my folder of a gown dress that I did - I put roses and rosebuds on the dress
