If you make from box Duncan Hines makes a good french vanilla and you can get fv extract for the buttercream!

I use the BC French Vanilla and also add a box of French Vanilla instant pudding (dry) and an extra egg. I replace the water with milk and for a very rich cake use a cube of butter instead of the oil. I use the butter when I want a very dense cake like for a 3D cake otherwise just use the oil. Hope this helps thumbs_up.gif

I think Betty Crocker French Vanilla is the best!

I added some French Vanilla Coffee mate to a cake this weekend and it was excellent! I used my regular extended white mix with butter and 2 tablespoons of powder per box. Great taste!
