I have no cakes for this weekend and I'm so happy! Don't get me wrong, I love doing cakes, but I am so looking forward to a cake free weekend! I'm going to try to get some projects done around the house and of course watch some football with DH. icon_biggrin.gif

Yep. I'm looking forward to going camping. Of course, I'm delivering a cake on my way out of town, but I sometimes look forward to cake free weekends, too.

Oh, deary, yes!!! I have been going non-stop since August! Not necessarily cakes every weekend, but something to do! My last booking right now is for Nov. 4 and I can't wait for the break! I like working around the house too. Don't feel bad, we all have to step back every once in a while to keep enjoying it.

Oh heavens yes, me too! I've had bookings every weekend since May and last weekend, I had only a small catering for 50 people on Sunday, and I was so thrilled to spend Friday and Saturday just laying around the house! Wow! I'd forgotten what that was like!! I sat in my front porch swing for some quiet time; my daughter and I went shopping (the mall.....wow! a shopping area that sells stuff NOT related to the food industry! What WILL they think of next?!). I had 2 weekends in a row that I had 3 weddings per weekend and I was dog-meat tired!

Time for me .... what a luxury!

I don't have any cakes this weekend either, just a double batch of butterscotch brownies. I'm excited, I've been busy with cakes every weekend for the past month or two so this weekend I am going to spend time with my boyfriend, maybe go out for dinner, and then maybe do a practice cake on sunday so I can try a FBCT. Ya'll have fun icon_smile.gif

You're not alone! My cake order got cancelled because the family was ill and I have to admit I was a little relieved not to have to mess up my kitchen, tell my kids to leave me alone so I can get it done, ect. I love doing cakes too, but a break is so nice. i have been really busy lately too.

I was thinking the same thing. I finally cleaned the rest of my house, sheesh...I had killer dust bunnies-those things had teeth on 'em - they were so big!! I was skeered!! icon_eek.gif I'm going to relax, do a hash run tomorrow then watch Sunday nite football with my beloved STEELERS!! icon_biggrin.gif I just may even watch that Eagles-Dallas game...even though I despise the Dallas team! Gooo Eagles!! Stomp T.O!! icon_twisted.gif

You can't imagine those buggers coming out from every corner, under the computer desk (I think that's where they meet and reproduce!!)
