I want to create a creamsicle cookie by using a box of DH orange supreme cake mix and mix it into cookies. I figure I mix the cake mix with the vanilla chips. But I'm having trouble figuring out what recipe would work the best for getting the cookies to taste like a creamsicle. Here are a couple of recipes that I came across that might work with this idea:

Recipe #1
1 box cake mix
1 small package instant pudding mix
1 cup sour cream
2 eggs
1 container prepared frosting (optional)

Recipe #2
1 8oz package cream cheese
1/4 cup butter, softened
1 box cake mix
1 egg
1/4 tsp vanilla
1 cup chips

Do either of these sound like they might work to achieve the desired flavor? Also if I use the first recipe, would vanilla pudding be the best choice or another flavor, like white chocolate? Does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks.

I have used orange creamsicle cake mix (DH) with 1 8ox container Cool Whip and one egg. Mix everything together (will be very sticky). Roll balls into powdered sugar. Bake at 375 for about 10 mintues. Will look soft and gooey when you take them out.

I absolutely love these (with any flavor cake mix!), and they're incredibly simple!!

ch0psuey: Do you think you could adds chips to that recipe? Also do you measure the cookies by teaspoon or tablespoon?

I just used a regular sized spoon (like I eat cereal with), and I get 30ish cookies per box. I'm sure you could add in chips. That would probably taste great!
