Hello. I am planning to do a hollywood star for this baby shower cake I am doing at the end of the month. The colors on the actually star look peach with gold specks. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to achieve the peach with specks using satin ice? I don't use the sparkle dust that often, so I didn't know whether to cover the cake with the satin ice and brush the gold dust over or sprinkle and knead the dust in. HEEEELLLPPPP!!

I always brush it on with a dry paint brush after the cake is covered. The longer you let the fondant set and dry, the less sparkle it will pick up. If you let it set too long and it doesn't stick you can either paint it one with a little vodka or I like to put my in a spray bottle and kinda mist it over the whole cake. In my opion it kinda gets lost if you mix it into the fondant. Good luck and be sure to post pic of the finished cake.
