duh! Ok a square has all sides equal. (though I guess to give myself credit that would be 3 inches cubed). So if you measure across thats 9" you need to roll your fondant out. If I look at the Wilton Chart is says you need 18 oz to roll a 6" round that's 4" high. If you total that it equals 14 inches across that you would roll the fondant. Your cakes are 64% smaller than the size of the 6" cake (9/14=.64). so if you take .64 of 18 oz. that equals 11.5 oz for each cake. Multiply that by 200 and you should have your answer. That's 2300 oz. Divide that by 16 to get the number of pounds, that would be 143 lbs!!!!! No!!!!!! That can't be right. Ok so I figure the amount wilton tells me I need and the amount it actually takes to really cover the cake is about half. so lets cut that in half: 71 lbs????? That's a lot of %$#@ fondant. Ok somebody else help this lady out. I don't have the answer. Sorry, I tried. That just doesn't seem right. ![]()
