Still trying to figure out the whipped cream or Rich's bettercream icing.

Can I use Americolor gel to tint whipped cream or will that make it too watery?

I tinted Rich's with Wilton gel colors and it was fine. I just refrigerated it after I mixed the color in to let it harden back up just a bit.

When I use the Rich's Bettercreme, you can color the icing without any problem, the icing will border and do flowers. If you need to have a real dark color just remember that the more you mix the stuff the airyer it will get. You will then have to add a little liquid bettercreme to get the over whip look out. As far as coloring regular whipped cream, it should not be a problem either, just remember again that the more you mix it the stiffer it gets, and with real cream it can turn into butter.
