is definately done by evil geniuses. For the longest time, you could get paper plates, ziploc baggies, plastic wrap and tinfoil all in one place BUT for kitchen garbage bags you had to go over to housewares where they sold the garbage cans...... used to drive me batty(they have since fixed that) . I knew it was just to get me to walk through more of the store. But NOW.... the bagged and bulk candy USED to be in the grocery dept... it has since been moved adjacent to the toy and bike section. I feel for parents everywhere. Oh and the size of SuperWalmart is ridiculous. If my husband and I are in there together we have to make sure we have our cell phones with us. If you lose someone in there you can spend an hour trying to track them down. I hate Walmart but my job requires that I shop there once a week and my hubby makes me go there. I dread it every time.
What kind of job do you have that it requires you to shop at Walmart?? just curious..
Thanks
Here's a link to another thread about WalMart's marketing and logic...

Our local SuperWal-Mart just underwent an extensive remodeling project. It looks more like Target now. I shop there occasionally because of the prices but not near as much as I used to. My niece just came back from a youth convention in St. Louis and she is totally against shopping at Wal-Mart now. They had a conference at the convention about different careers that are available now and these teens were told that Wal-Mart sells clothes that were made in foreign countries by kids that were forced to work in sweat shops.
Off topic, I know, but it's just been on my mind since she told me that. I'm not trying to bash Wal-Mart ~ just repeating what I've been told.
It's not only Walmart, JC Penny, Sears, K Mart to name a few, use third world countries. Pasting from PBS.ORG sweatshop profiles. When you see that Nike trademark on gym shoes, think of the workers who make .19 cents an hour!

As annoying as my Walmart is, they did something really smart at mone-they put diet pills at the end of the COOKIE AISLE!!!!! How funny is that?
Try finding sunblock at Walmart in August... impossible. Not in the skincare or camping sections. You're lucky if you find some at the registers. Grrr....
LOL, where I live it is HOT/WARM between March and October it drives me up the wall to find winter clothing from August on. No shorts, no pool supplies, HELLO we wear shorts and camp year round (some lucky people with heated pools swim in the winter also)!!! You would think they would adjust their inventory to fit the community.
My Walmart has the sunblock with the Nair and waxing stuff. I suppose they think if you need sunblock, you must need to clean up the bikini area too!
helliOH,
Thanks for the list. I had no idea so many US companies were involved in such unethical practices. Another good reason to search out American made products.
