Hi folks............I have to say i have been glued to this site for days, you guys are awesome at what you do 
I am hoping to find the courage to try some of the things i see you all do on this site...i spend time just admiring your work.
I have also discovered what a great sense of humor you all have, i stumbled across a thread that was titled "Post your worst cake" Oh lord, i had tears streaming down my face. I wasn't laughing at the cakes, it was the comments and the stories that got me, you all are so funny 
Anyway i just wanted to say hello............ and i think you guys are awesome.

Welcome! Don't feel embarrassed. I have been a member for a year and never posted until this week. I found this awesome site when I was asked to make my son's wedding cake. I have to say, this has been an absolute lifesaver and a pleasant escape from everyday drama!! I love this and I love all the creative talented people on here!!! So jump in and have fun!!

I sat here and read the forums right from the beginning (STILL working my way through some of them). After about 3 months I got up the courage to take my first Wilton class.
You'll find all the Ladies and Gents to be very helpful...and if you're shy about posting your creations - check out MY photos. Nothing to brag about but they're MY babies.

I guess i am more than new to this site but new to this creative decorating as well.. it is something i want to try and honestly it seems overwhelming at times. However after reading some of these posts i have decided it's time to try...as soon as i do one i will post a pic.
I want to start simple, my daughter 13 has a bake sale coming up..so i thought i would try a simple recipie or lat least get some ideas from here.
Yesterday i saw a wonderful Brownie recipie called "Triple choc. brownies" I may make those....I know it's not decorating, but it is a bake sale, so i thought i would keep it simple.
I have been trying to get into decorating classes at a place called Lorraines but my work schedule is not cooperating. However i read that alot fo you are self taught, so perhaps i should play with that and get some practice anyways... thank you so, so much again, for the welcomes
