I am making a luau cake this weekend and I have to create a pink flamingo on it. What could I use to make the feathers? It will be made on a 1/2 sheet cake, so it won't be "huge". I was thinking the leaf tip might be too big? Any creative ideas would be appreciated.
Thank you

Do you work with fondant or gumpaste by chance?

Fondant, gumpaste or maybe candy clay. I'm making a quill right now for my son's birthday cake and I'm trying the candy clay, it's drying right now and I'm hoping it will hold it's shape since he doesn't like fondant.

I have never used fondant before. I am anxious to try, but doubt I will become good enough by this weekend.
Unfortunatley, I am going to have to pipe with either buttercream, or gel (never used gel before either though).
