I have been asked by my best friend to make a cake for her work (at a corporate office) for one of her bosses who is becoming a 'naturalized citizen'. She needs it for roughly 30 people or so, 1/2 choc 1/2 vanilla, bc frosting & filling. She would like red/white/blue as the colors but doesn't really want any writing on it (thought maybe stars or stripes or both). Other than these specifications, I have free reign.

Anyone have any suggestions for size/shape of cake or what I should charge? I really hate charging her for it (best friend & all!!) but her company is paying for it so I have to!!

Thanks!!
Amy

when you half/half

1/2 sheet (feeds 30) (white and chocolate side by side) or a double layer with a layer of each on top of each other ( which would be all most double the money and would feed more then 30)

or round cake with a layer of each.

You can make blue stars to put around the cakes and maybe white roses with red trim.(two tone).

maybe you can make a star shaped cake and decorate that white. then add blue or red stars and blue and red stripes. or since the cake is a star only put stripes on it.

sorry this is late ....but w/ CC down every time I'm finally home and could use it....and up only when I'm at work when I can't use it......

sheet cake made to look like close of up of left side of body ... dressed in suit, flag lapel pin, hand on chest. message starts: I pledge allegiance....

then something like "welcome to the family"
