I have a request for a cake with whipped cream icing. (Not whipped buttercream, but heavy cream)

I know I need to use a recipe for stabilized whipped cream but my main question is can I decorate a whipped cream cake with MMF decorations or gumpaste or will the cream break down in some way?

I need to decorate this cake with something other than piped decorations.

Does anyone know for sure? Have you used fondant decorations on whipped cream before?
Thanks.

I have used whipped cream icing many times and I don't think it will hold the fondant decorations up. It is so soft. I can just see the decos sliding down the side of the cake.

What is the design of the cake? Is there a special reason you can't pipe the decos?
