Which Is Better When Sculpting A Cake?

Do you freeze it first then sculpt it or do you just let it cool down and then scuplt it. TIA

I sculpt frozen then thaw to torte and decorate

I haven't done a lot of sculpting, but I have found it is much easier if the cake is at least very cold, or frozen.

I've done both and frozen works much better...so much less crumby.

I've done both, I don't bother freezing unless it's an intricate pattern to be cut out.....then definitely freeze!!! It's absolutely MUCH easier!
