Hi - I have an issue and would like to know if anyone else has had a problem.....I ordered a bunch of stuff from Pfiel & Holing (cakedeco.com) and it arrived 2 days later like it was supposed to, however.....everything I ordered was in the box except the 5lb tub of satin ice and 5 americolors bottles. I received the package on Friday, so I waited until Monday to call them. I didn't get a call back until this morning - the lady told me that they had the shipping guy re-create the order to see what the shipping weight was, and it was the same as what I paid for. She said she will see what she can do and call me back. I feel like she doesn't believe me that it wasn't in there. I told them this morning that I need the fondant thursday because I have to deliver a cake on friday and no other place near me sells black satin ice fondant.

Has anyone else had any problems with orders from them. I ordered some stuff a few months ago and had no problems at all with the order.

Thanks for letting me vent.....

This really surprises me. I have never had a problem with them. I order the majority of my supplies from cake deco.

I've never had a problem with them either. Sorry you are having a hard time with them. Have you tried making MMF? Maybe you can use that in the meantime.

Sorry to hear about your problem. I have order from them a few times and never had a problem espically with their fondant being shipped. Ask her the weight and what was on your order. I when I order fondant and other stuff it all comes in one box.

good luck

First, verify that the number of boxes shipped and what you received was the same.
Then items per box and the individual weights...also who they used for the shipping should have an independant weight on the shipment if there is a discrepancy....then again...they might not care if the weight was less than they got to charge for so that is not always a marker... lastly...keep on their tail about getting answers. That's too much profuct to go missing.

They confirmed on the phone that only one box was shipped and that the weight of the items was the weight I was charged for. They used either FedEx or UPS - don't remember which one. I too want this resolved, however it is especially nerve-racking because I need the fondant for Thursday night to do a cake for friday. I don't know where else to get the fondant if they don't resend it. I guess I will have to add black to my chocolate satin ice fondant and try to get it black.

uurrgghh!!!!

Check the weight of the items you did receive against the weight on the weighbill...or do you not have the shipping papers?

You may have to make a claim with the shipper....did the box look damaged at all?

In the meantime....you will have to probably make some fondant...

I have the shipping papers and they say the shipment was 12lbs, which is the same as Pfiel & Holing is telling me, which is what I was charged for. The box did not look damaged to me - they asked me that also. I am going to call them back and see what is going on. I am dissappointed because I have heard such great things about them on this site, and I had no problem the last time I ordered stuff from them.

I have e-mail the company that makes the Satin Ice Fondant to see if there is someone near me that sells the black.

I've made black fondant from Satin Ice chocolate and it took very little black to do it--and it tasted great.
