I've only used the Wilton fondant and I know that most people find it horrible tasting. I don't think it's horrible and neither do my customers but everyone seems to dislike the texture. I'm wanting to try MMF but am wondering if it has a "chewy" texture?

I received some samples from ChocoPan and think it tastes 100% better than Wilton and it doesn't seem as chewy but I haven't worked with it yet nor tasted it on cake so I'm not sure about the texture either.

Last night I made some rolled buttercream and I really like the way it tastes adn the texture is drier and seems fine but I'm also not sure if it can be used to cover cakes. Anyone have any experience with that?

i've done mmf and everyone's loved it! i used almond extract to flavor it and it was very good. i've also done rolled buttercream and i LOVE working with it! (I'm not too good at smoothing reg. icing tapedshut.gif lol) it also good to eat. i think its a great alternative for someone like me who can't smooth icing but customer doesn't want fondant.
