Is it possible to make a monogram that will stand on the top of your cake like a bought one? I have a wedding cake to do and I don't want to have to go over it 4-5 times with Royal, because I think it will look too chunky then. Is there another way to do it? I have to put one on top of a 6 " cake for the bride and groom to take home with them and one on top of 200 cupcakes ( one momogram each ) They would like them to all stand up on the cake and cupcakes. Would color flow be a better way to go? Any help wpuld be greatly appreciated.

I have used candy melts and they worked out great for me. I did a monogram on some cupcakes there in my photos, just print out the font and lay wax paper over that and trace and pop in frig for a few minutes and peel off. Good luck on your weddingicon_smile.gif

Like IrisinBloom said, you can make one out of candy melts, but the preferred way is to make it out of Color-Flow, piping points onto the bottoms of the outlines, like stakes to push into the cake. I dip my color flow pieces in melted candy melts or cocoa butter, then let cool, to protect them from the fat in the buttercream.
