OK. I'm sure this topic has been posted before and for that I apologize, however I had to share my first experience trying to make MMF tonight.

I was standing in the kitchen, screaming for my husband, with caked, cracky marshmallow sugar crap all over my hands. I'm afraid to dive back in with my crisco covered hands, but after reading that the crisco may help my mess, I guess I'll have to!

How big of a cake does one recipe of the MMF cover? Is it really a trial and error with ingredients? I added water, which seemed to help, but it's still so sticky and I read it shouldn't be.

I don't want to give up on my glob. Please advise.

thank you so much! icon_razz.gif

My first few times was a total mess icon_cry.gif I have it down to one bowl one spoon and a lightly greased counter top.
I find it helps if I get the majority of the sugar in the marshmallow with a spoon and when I can no longer stir it I cover the bowl well and walk away for a few min. After it cools some it is not as sticky and more managable. That is when I dump it out on the counter and knead in the remaining sugar.
