My aunt just called me and requested a cake for Wednesday. Which means that I need to do this cake tonight and have it done by tomorrow and I work full time. I am soooo excited.

My mom was at a party with her the other week and told her along with some others that I have been doing a lot of cakes these days and that I am getting busier and busier. She emailed them some pictures so they had an idea of what kind of work I can do. That was last friday, and she has already called with an order. Now...she doesn't work, rides horses and plays a ton (they have a lot of money). So the people she hangs around are in kind of a similar situation. This could be such a great opening for me.... icon_smile.gif.

Her friend is having a double mastectomy and about 9 of their friends are having a "spa day" on Wednesday before she goes in. She left it up to me to come up with ideas. I need help. Feel free to look at my pictures to see what I can do... I like to "wow" and don't ever choose anything like a simple sheet cake. I need it to look "expensive" if that makes any sense.

Thanks in advance!!!

i did some things this week for a retail store that held a Breast Cancer Awareness function. Since they sell purses there I made a standup purse cake and the latch was a breast Cancer Awareness Ribbon. Their theme was Power of Pink. I also cut out tiny awareness ribbons and put them on the "purse" front and back. I used white choco-pan to cover but you could use White Satin Ice too. I used the diamond impression mat and then put the little ribbons on. You could use pink tiny flower buds too. I also made ribbon awareness cookies with the cookie cutter I have.

how about a round cake with a basket weave and then cover the top with shades of pink with some white roses to represent breast cancer awareness month.

I think that maybe kind of combining a spa and breast cancer theme would be great!

I like the thought of the tiny awareness ribbons. How did you do them? Sounds like a neat cake fearlessbaker. I wish it were in your gallery icon_sad.gif

Thanks and hopefully keep them coming. I get off work in an hour and will start once I get home. I also have to email her ideas before I leave here.

There is a not very good picture of the first cake purse I did in the gallery. This time I made a square. I wish you had more time because I would gladly mail you my awareness cookie cutters. They were bought from ebay. The cake in the gallery is covered in pink chocolate clay. It' easy PM me if you need help. I won't be on the PC for an hour or 2.

Doc_farms, you could make the ribbons from pink fondant & fold to make the awareness ribbons. Good luck & have fun!!!!
