Hi everyone! I just thought I would share the really encouraging feedback I got the other day. I had a lady email me and tell me that I came highly recomended and would I make her daughter's b-day cake. So I ended up making her the Arabian castle and tiara cookies (they are in my photos). When she came to pick them up she was really excited about it and told me that I am "famous" in her circle of friends. When I asked what she ment, she said that my name and myspace page has been passed around and that I am known as the "cake girl".
I had no idea that anyone other than my family and friends had even seen my work! Also, a friend of my sister asked if I would consider teaching a cake class sometime. Then a few days ago a wedding photographer wrote and asked if she could refer me to her clients as her "top vendor"! I was really floored by that one. And while I had to ask for raincheck until I can get licensed, I was still realy honored! All this in less than a year!
I guess I just wanted to encourage everyone that what we do, and our efforts do not go unnoticed! I think that the general public is becomming more familiar with cake art (THANKS DUFF!!!!). It is so exciting to me to know that this could actually be something that I can do with my life! Now I just get to take the next few years and practice until my kids start school... then who knows!
