Ok another Georgian. My shop is in Snellville and we've been open for seven weeks. I'm waiting on someone (a professional) to come in a redo my skirting on the wedding cake tables in the window.

Another ( not native) Georgian here lol. I am in Savannah.. I often order supplies from the store in Tucker.. Cake Art Party Store? When I need fast shipping other wise intotheoven is cheaper. Im not too far from Warner Robbins so I will have to take a trip there since I have a friend there anyway. The only place I have found around here that sales anything is Micheals and while Michaels is ok.. I need something more icon_smile.gif

Fluttercakes,

My husbands sister lives in Fayetteville and we go there all the time. Sometimes she comes down here and we go to AJ's and sometimes I mail her things. We have gone up to Cake Art for a class before.

Havin' Cake Fun in GA.......

Wow, small world, huh? I was planning on taking the class offered through Cake Art called the Business of Cakes...has anyone ever taken that one? I googled the location of AJ's, and it's an hour and thirty-eight minutes away from me icon_cry.gif! That sucks!!!! Someone needs to give me a reason to go down there icon_lol.gif!

I've been wanting to take one of the classes, but I just can't afford it right now. They're a tad expensive. Especially, for as far as I'd have to drive.

If any of you take one, let me know, I'd like to know what I'm getting into before I do.. hehe

Thanks!

Holly

Fluttercakes,

That is the class (Business of Cakes) we took when we went to Cake Art.
Ummm. I have to say you probably learn more on Cake Central than in the class about the cake business. It was a few years ago and I guess you pick up a little something in every class you take. However, it was worth going to see the store and shop.

I have that on the front wall so people walking by can still see the pics too. I have a ton of people look at them. Sometimes I am not very great at changing them out. But I love things like that. I painted a mural on my wall and also painted my tabletops. Some have cakes, pies ice cream, and some are just funky.

So am I ... I promise in return I will post mine just as soon as I get it going. We just got our offer accepted this weekend to buy a pizza place. We have to get our financing approved and then remodel some and we will be in business!! (We are hoping to open 12/1)
