I need tips on how to get lipstick out of my son's jacket. It's been sitting since Friday since he didn't tell me about it until 5 minutes before the bus showed up today. Some little girl had it on the bus and I'm still not sure about details but it's not a real light shade so why she had it anyway is a mystery. Once I know what happened I'm calling the bus driver to let him know that this kid is running around marking people. icon_mad.gif
The jacket is a dark green, waterproof type of material. The stain is on the sleeve.

I did a quick search online for "remove lipstick stain" and came up with everything from rubbing alcohol, dishwashing detergent (works for oil based stains - makes sense) to the old standby - hairspray. Haven't tried any myself but hope that helps a little!

I was thinking hairspray as well. I know it works great on ink stains.

I've always heard hairspray.

I had to try this when I graduated High School and it worked then, but I don't wear lipstick, so.....haven't tried it since then.

Good Luck!
