I'm so mad at myself, i made a FBTC and last night I wanted to put it on the cake and because the cake is curved I had the "great idea" icon_mad.gificon_mad.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gif of stick it in the microwave for a few seconds to help it soften and be able to place it on the cake and then put the cake in the freezer and peel of the parchment paper, well, I ruined icon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gif it got all nasty and I almost wanted to cry!!!
Now I just made another one and i just put it in the freezer and I hope it will be frozen in about an hour, since I have to take the cake to my SIL in about 2 hours. I'm so frustrated that sometimes I just want to quit icon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gif

I know - we all do things like that sometimes and wish we could just rewind about 2 min. Don't quit! You can chalk it up to "live and learn" and know not to microwave a FBCT again! icon_smile.gif Your new one should be just fine in an hour.

You should be fine, it really doesn't take very long for them to freeze, the FBCT just has to be solid enough to handle it and put it on your cake. Janice

It should take about 20 to 30 mins for it to freeze.

I haven't tried to do a transfer on the side of the cake, but I think I would try to put it on the cake after I made the transfer. Leaving the wax paper on the front and then put it in the freezer.

find something the same size as the cake......a coffee can, shortening can, etc...and lay it on there and pop the whole thing (FBCTand can) in the freezer, then it will freeze with a very similar curve as the cake!
