I'm looking for instructions for making a 3d bird out of fondant/gumpaste. Needs to be about 3" long.

Thanks!

i don't have really good instructions. there's a picture of some in my photos- not very good, my first attempts. but first model the body the way you want it, model a beak and "glue it on. cut out the wings seperately and and glue them on, add on details last such as eyes. i used a tool to make shallow "grooves" on the tail.

Just saw a site on How 2 Cakes by Natalia I saved it in my favorites. when I just went to it this is what came up. She gives instructions on a 3d dove but also says you can use this for birds. Haven't tried it yet. Just tried typing in www.how2cakes.com and it brought me to same place. Hope this helps

That was exactly what I was looking for! Thank you!

I'm actually needing a crow, but bet I can adapt this one.

Thanks again

I always mold the bird by hand, then use my mini leaf cutter for feathers, and overlap them, making the marks on them with a veining tool. Good luck!
