My poor KitchenAid is in dire need of service! It's starting to scream at me when mixing for along time...I think it needs oil or something? icon_cry.gif

Do any of you service your own machines or do you take them somewhere?

Call the Kitchenaid Experience store in Greenville, OH. See what they suggest.

I had to have mine serviced once when it was about 8 years old, it is about 18 now. I called Kitchenaid and they had me take it to a specified repair center. At the time it cost me $40.00 to have the brushes replaced.

You can contact Kitchen Aid for a list of the factroy authorized repair shops near you. I had to call them this last week to find one because in our last move the movers DROPPED the box my precious mixer was in and now it has a dent on the top, the back is loose, and it makes a loud noise if you try to use the highers speeds. icon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gif

Bummer! I checked the kitchenaid website and the nearest service center is like 1 1/2 hrs away from me! I just wonder if any small appliance repair shop could work on it.

I hope the movers were insured... you should get them to repair it for you...

We had insurance. Plus in was a government move thru the army so they told me just to bring in proof to she how much it would cost to replace it since it's more than an hours drive from where I live to an authorized repair shop.
