I have heard of people decorating a sheet cake so that whoever cuts it has knows how to cut it to get the exact amount of cake. I need to do one today ASAP. I don't know if I should just make the cutting lines out of stars and put a drop flower on each piece..or what????
I was looking for some pics in the gallery but apparently I don't know the proper term to use to search for it!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Ashlee
I think I've heard the term Grid used for it... usually there is a small decoration in the center of each piece and then the outline of each slice can simply be scored or outlined/dotted/made of stars, etc...
I like the flower idea! I know what you're talking about, I think I've seen them at Costco. I can't remember what they use though!
Here's a pic I found:

I think you can do whatever you like to mark the servings - just divide evenly on each side and mark your grid. Country Kitchens actually sells grid markers:

Good luck with your cake!
I don't know what they call that either, but I searched for 'sheet' and found a few examples....

Thanks so much!! I knew what I had in mind but wanted to make sure I wasn't crazy before I got started
I have to do these sheets and be at our church at 4 to cook a dinner for 125 people. (It's almost 1 now) My 1 year old is very clingy today and hubby isn't helping matters...he just keeps asking me a zillion questions!!!
Did I mention I have a headache and I am pregnant and the smell of buttercream is making me want to hurl EVERYWHERE???????
It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood!
Thanks again
ashlee
