hello everyone! and thank you thank you all that have given tips, and anything that i have ever posted everyone has replied. so thank you. my goal for this year was to get better at cake decorating, which i have ( sorry my pictures are pretty old, and havent had time to post new ones since the begining of this year).... well my other goal was so sell my first cake by october. i didnt care if it was just to cover cost whatever.... i didnt care. so my co-worker liked on of the cakes i did for a neices b-day, and she liked it so much she wanted to order it from me. i decided i would charge her $2 a slice, i would have charged more but this is my 1st cake. its covered in fondant, with fondant rosettes, and pink ribbon. the cake is simple. and although i would have wanted to charge $3 a slice, i held back bc i am not sure. do you all think i made the correct choice? if so.... have you all done the same with your first paid cake? thank you again ![]()
Do you have a pic of the cake? When starting out experience plays a part in the pricing. So I guess it would depend on what level of decorating you are at.
Only you can decide if you undercharged really anyway. : ) I know not very helpful.
