I appologize first off for not doing the search right off hand for these recipes here but im getting ready to head out of town for the day and my keyboard's batteries are LOW lol. and i've had 2.4 hours sleep icon_razz.gif

some long time friends of ours and coworker of hubby's will be leaving sometime in the very near future (aka date unknown but veddy soon icon_smile.gif) and she's a vegetarian as the kids are and hubby almost is- but she's not vegan so this allows i'm sure for a bit leeway in the recipe.

i was hoping to pick your expertise for those who have made cakes and frostings for vegetarians - if its possible icon_smile.gif

again you have my deepest appreciation- and hers too once she see's it icon_biggrin.gif

If they aren't vegan, then you don't really have much to worry about. Vegetarians just do not eat meat, poultry, seafood. Some don't eat eggs, but egg substitutes work well in most recipes. Just ask them about that to be sure.

My husband and his entire family have been vegetarians for 25+ years and I bake for them all the time. The only thing that would be a no-no is lard and YUCK anyway!

Vegan is very different, all that plus no dairy. Not really difficult, just different.
