Has Anyone Ever Covered The Wilton Ball Pan In Fondant? Help

I want to do a 3-D ball cake, but cover it in fondant-any suggestions on how to do that w/out a million creases?

I did the tomato on this cake usin gthe 3d ball pan, and fondant. I used my hands to smooth it and vegetable spray on my hands to make the tomato look shiny. You just have to keep smoothing it with your hands. You can't really use a smoother because of the shape.
Dunno what other tips to give you, sorry!

This is not a ball per se, but I made this teapot using two pyrex mixing bow and covered it with the easy MMF. The top two thirds were easy, like the previous entry, just keep smoothing with hands. I put the ball shape on a ricotta cheese carton so I could bring it around the bottom unhindered. Had a little trouble with folds on the bottom third, but I knew I was covering it with leaves so didn't worry about it. I'm not sure the attachment made it so look in my photo section if not.
