I was making yet another batch of No-fails and during the part of adding the dry ingredients my mixer was chugging away. I dropped a tip on the floor and it rolled under the fridge. I went down to retrieve it (on my hands and knees) and I looked up in time to see the Kitchen Aid coming for me--it walked across the counter top and was half way off! ![]()
The only thought that went through my head was "If I am going to die, how will my family explain it?"
It was a cookie accident?
That's hilarious!! I can totally see that happening!! My question is WHO gets your KitchenAid in the even of your untimely death??![]()
Amy
hahah, mine tried to commit suicide yesterday by leaping off the stool it was on while it had like 3 pounds of meringue!
There was white sticky stuff.....heheh...EVERYWHERE!
Oh, my gosh, I'm sorry, I don't mean to laugh but I am LAUGHING OUT LOUD reading this (and the responses). I'm trying to picture any one of us on our hands and knees searching for a tip, only to have our dearly beloved KITCHEN AID MIXER trying to attack us. TOTALLY UNWARRANTED, I say, with as kind as we have been to our dear mixer. Although, maybe the mixer is trying to get revenge for all the months and even years of hard work we have put it through. IT'S HAD ENOUGH AND IT'S NOT TAKING IT A-N-Y M-O-R-E. !!!
I am so glad you did not get hurt. That thing could have done some serious damage had it fallen on you. ![]()
That's scary! ![]()
I'm glad you weren't hurt, and that you can laugh about it now.
Whenever I use my KitchenAid mixer or my food processor, I put it on a square of nonslip drawer liner. (The same stuff I put in the cake carrier under the cake board.) It seems to do a good job of preventing appliance travel.
