CC Users,

I bought a silverplated cake plateau from Big Lot's what a steal. I have not used it, because I don't know if there are anything that I should do to keep it from getting messed up. The price was great and that was the only one that they had. If you have experience with these let me know how you keep yours looking good.

Thanks,

Licia

I've never used one either so I can't help you out, but here's a bump.

I want one of these though, may have to go to Big Lots lol.

I have one, and I use Wright's Silver Cream. It's super easy to use and you can find it at the grocery store. I just take mine outside, apply the cream according to the package directions, then spray it off with the hose....tada! Perfect, and gorgeous I might add, looking silver!

Thanks, where do you purchase the Wright's Silver Cream from. Do you wash it with water only, no detergents? Thanks again.

I have several of these and use them often. I just use a dish cloth with a little soap in it and rub it over the entire base, scrubbing softly when needed on hard icing. Then, I immediately use a soft towel to dry the base completely, then buffing with the towel till it shines. I make sure there is no water at all on it before I put it away. I have had these for several years and they still look brand new. Good Luck with yours, you will really like it!

Before I drive into town, can you let us know how much your cake plateau cost? Thanks!

It was only $12.00 I purchased it in a nearby Big Lots. The Big Lots in my town did have any. The store I purchased it from had only one and it was the one I purchased. If they would have more I would have at least bought 2 of them.

I think it was with the furniture polish at the grocery store.....or Wal-mart.
