Let me start by saying she is so funny, what a crazy, cute woman. Did anyone see her show lastnight? It was all about chocolate..mmm. My fav part was when she licked chocolate off of a guy from the audience face. Her chocolate bowls for ice cream is a must try, i might even try that today. I cant wait they were so cute.

She is fantastic, I would love to be on her show.

That was hysterical when she got the guy from the audience to eat from the fountain with her...lol

How about when she put the syrup on the most expensive sundae ever ($1,000)...lol

I LOVE Paula Deen! She's my Southern woman kindred spirit and cooks all the yummy southern food I miss so much! My husband calls her "The Butter Lady" because he says that everything she cooks has at least 2 sticks of butter in it. I won't tell him that's just what makes the southern food so good, all the cholesterol oozing out of it!

Debbie2881, I so agree, I thought she was going to spit it out...lol

I have to say caviar (fishy) and ice cream - I can't imagine but I guess it sells.

Her show is so great - did you see the one when she went to Paris and she met the chicken guy in the market.

She makes everything look so delicious and easy to make - that show is great !

debbie2881,
Here's Paula's recipe for "better than sex cake"!
It's from her "Lady & Son's Cookbook"

Better Than Sex Cake

1 18 1/2 oz pkg choc cake mix (I used devils food)
1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
1 6 oz jar caramel or hot fudge topping (I used caramel)
1 8 oz cool whip
4 score candy bars crushed (I couldn't find Score, so I used Heath)

Prepare cake according to directions. BAke in 9X13 pan. Pierce warm cake with toothpick (or large fork) and pour sweet condensed milk all over, then pour caramel topping all over. Chill. Before serving, top with cool whip and sprinkle crushed candy bars all over.

OH MY GOSH THIS IS SENSATIONAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BY FAR MY FAVORITE CAKE IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU PAULA DEAN FOR MAKING SUCH SINFUL CREATIONS AND SHARING THEM WITH THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, I get a little excited even when I think of this cake! icon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gif

I like her too! That show seemed more fun that some out there. She does some silly stuff and involves the audience more so that makes it more fun too. I'll watch it again for sure!

I can't believe I missed it. I have been waiting for weeks to see this. I got so busy decorating cakes for Saturday I forgot. Out of all the foodnetwork folks, she is my favorite, the rest are OK. I like her southern style, and her more down to earth cooking. She has really been doing alot of different shows, I wonder if she still has time to work the restaurant. I imagine they all have so much money now that none of them ever need to be there. She has come a long way. I like her approach and lightheartedness. Food Network in my opinion could get rid of some of the others and put Paula on more.

gee i have to say again how funny she is, just thinking about her shows i'm here laughing. she looks so real. you can just tell that she is never "acting". seems like a really fun woman to be around.

cncgirl00 did you see when she started throwing the biscuits? that was just too funny. Oh and how she embarassed her son & DIL. It was too cute, they are probably used to it anyway to be embarassed.
