Does Anyone Own The Ateco Fondant Work Mat?
Decorating By springlakecake Updated 30 Sep 2006 , 2:24pm by SweetArt
Does any one have this fondant work mat sold by ateco? I see them using it in their tutorials and it seems like it says on the table without sliding around. I have the wilton roll and cut mat, but I cant get the thing to stick to the table so it is always coming loose and it really annoys me. Just wondering what this product was made out of and if it was worth the money.

I know what you mean...I don't have either - I usually grease my work surface with crisco, and then I lay on top of it my Pampered chef silicone pie crust mat and use that as a guide for cutting (It has raised measurements for 9", 10", 11" etc.) Don't know if that helps or not, but that's what I do ![]()
I own this mat and I love it. It fits perfectly on the counter top. It stick very well and wont move unless you get powdered sugar under it. I usually then wipe the counter with a damp towel and it will stick very well to the damp surface. It is made of silicone, so you can't cut on it with a knife, but I cut on it with a pizza cutter all the time.
