I'm making a cake for tomorrow - and thought I had saved a recipe from this site for a chocolate chip cake (using white cake mix). Now I can't find it.

I'm not sure if I just make the cake with the regular directions and add in chocolate chips - or is there more to it than that???

I hate when this happens!! icon_mad.gificon_cry.gif

Yum.. chocolate chips in the cake? Do you use mini chocolate chips? Hope some one can help you!

I've been advised to coat the chocolate chips with some of the dry cake mix, otherwise I've had them sink to the bottom and make a mess. The mini chips would probably not sink as much, if you have those. Janice

Darnit, I forgot to get mini chips so all I have are regular size. Thanks for the reminder about coating them. I believe flour will work okay.

Does anyone else know if I can just add the chocolate chips to the regular white cake mix (fold the chips in after the cake mix is made) ???

Thanks

You'd need to add them into the batter, if you put them in and mix the cake, they will lose their coating. Janice

The cake sounds good, haven't done a white cake with choc chips in a long time.
