Last week I made a Louis Vuitton handbag, I was really happy with it. So much so I want to make another one for a friends birthday tomorrow. This time I thought I would do the brown version.

However as with my white handbag where I used edible pens to draw on the logos, I was thinking I would try to paint them on with gold lustre dust.. I gave this a try last night and it was such a disaster. I am not artistic at all so I couldnt get them to look right with the paintbrush, I also got very shaky hands.

So I was thinking would FBCT work? I would have to do the L & V plus the other logos so they will be quite thin. How does the transfer hold up? Ive never done one before so I would love to hear from you all if you guys think this would work. Or another ideas would be awesome.

Thanks guys

I dont know if a FBCT would be your best bet for that. It is like a 3-d purse cake right? I think it would just stick up off of the purse too much to look realistic. Plus I am sure they would be kind of tiny and need to be on the sides. I just dont know it if would be right for your design. Could you do them in fondant? I dont want to be discouraging, but I just dont know if you would be happy wiht the result. I think they are probably going to work better on a larger scale and flat surface.

I'm with Merrisa...I wouldn't do a FBCT either...it would be to thick, and a pain to mess with if you got them too thin...trust me, I know!

I like the fondant idea even though I don't like the taste of fondant, but I would go that route...cleaner and more realistice.

Good luck!

No merissa that's not discouraging... that's exactly why i posted here.... I had a feeling I might be going down the wrong track.

I also thought about trying them in chocolate but that will probably give the same result....

She just might end up with the white bag (which I think is still cool).

For some reason I feel that I read somewhere on this site that someone made a template and used that as a guide and used the luster dust.

If that makes any sense.

I read so many things on so many differnet sites that I can't remember where I get some of my information from.
