Try VegWeb for recipes. I've used the white cake recipe posted there several times for a little girl allergic to egg products and her parents say it's wonderful. icon_wink.gif
I don't have the link handy, but I think if you just type in VegWeb in a google search you can find it quickly.

Good luck!

DisneyDreamer - check out this website http://vegweb.com/index.php?action=recipes there's quite a lot of recipes on there...
You do have to be really aware of vegan diet restrictions if you start to do vegan cakes. Bear in mind that vegans cannot eat enriched flour, powdered sugar, eggs, gelatin, or milk. You may have to drastically change how you shop for your supplies!

SOME VEGANS!! all vegans are "animals" of different colors! lol

you can offer a "generic" dairy free product,

something like an eggless, flourless chocolate cake?

if you are going to bake to meet every vegan requirement out there, you'd go broke!

Its been so long since i was a vegan that i did forget about the flour! But the type of vegans i am making a cake for are Lactovegetarian (A lactovegetarian diet will not include meat or eggs but incorporates plant foods plus cheese and other dairy products.) So no worries there. When i was vegan i just didnt eat cake but the cakes are for a very young boy for his bithday and other special events. Thanks again for the help

I passed on the vegan cake recipe to my sister whose husband is allergic to eggs. Although her skewer came out clean, the cake in the middle was very solid, a bit like brownies. Is it meant to be like this or was there woo much liquid??
