Am I normal? icon_rolleyes.gif
My daughter-in-law and I made our first cake together this week that was good enough to look at. (I need hubby to show me how to put picture on site)
You would have thought it was a new born baby! LOL
We kept taking pictures from all angles and admiring it.
We were ridiculously proud! icon_biggrin.gif
BTY it was a Lemon/limade cake with buttercream frosting.
She said several people at church said it was the best cake they ever ate. She got her first order with promises for more.
We are sure proud of our firstborn. icon_razz.gif

I'm just glad to know that I'm not the only one that does this! I'll even climb up on a stool to take "aerial photos" !! icon_rolleyes.gif

I "give birth" to my cakes all the time, that is why i hate to hand them off to someone else! People ask me all the time "how can you stand to cut into them" somehow cutting them does not bother me nearly as much as the thought of them getting messed up, does that make sense?

OH and the answer to that is, once this one gets cut and eaten eventually i will get to make another one because they will want more!
