I'm asking for a little help. I've made up a cake recipe, using a product from another local business (jellies made from local plants), this lady is really happy about the product I might add. What I need help for is this: I want to start advertising this new cake flavor, locally, in around end of September and beginning of October. What's the best way to launch or advertise a new product? And it'll be more expensive too, because of the other I use. But it's sooooo yummy..... I was thinking of making an official launch, like a party, with tasting... or maybe just put ads in local newspaper and radio... or I don't know.... I want to make a good impression, so that people will ask for this flavor.
any help, comments, advice will be sooooo appreciated!

Is my idea of a tasting (for caterers and local journalists) is good? or should I just make an ad and let people decide if they want to taste it?
I'm torn between the two. If I do a tasting, I could get an article in the newspaper, so I might do that. Anyone else have done a tasting before? any advice for me on how to present things?
