ummm I actually wrote to pbs to help get this on in my area.....it finally came on......I watched it...and OMG was it booooooooooring!!!!!!!
they talk as if anyone watching is dumb.....this was cut with a knife....a knife is a utensil with a sharp metal end usually found in the kitchen drawer with other utensils such as forks, spoons, and butter knives. 
I wasn't impressed with it either but I keep watching hoping that it will get better. They need to find someone else who can do a better job of demonstrating the techniques. Her technique in spreading the icing is sloppy, the icing is too soft (probably from the studio lights) so it doesn't show proper piping (roses, borders, etc.), very gloppy. Fondant work is not smooth. The pre-decorated cakes look beautiful (the same as in the Wilton books) but when she demonstrates how to do it, she just makes a mess. Very disappointing.
