My mom is turning 50 and she's totally freaking out about it. Some background: my mom has always wanted to live in hawaii about 2 years ago my parents and my husband and our family moved to hawaii. She's so in love with Hawaii. So I'm doing her a hawaiian themed cake and I want to put a cute saying on it to remind her that even though she's turning 50 at least she's turning 50 in Hawaii. Any cute ideas????
Happy birthday to your mom, tell her I'm not far behind (I catch that big wave in November!). I understand how she feels. Don't tell her I said this, but turning 40 and 45 did not bother me. 50, well that's a different story. I just don't know how to explain it, but it Is somehow different this time.
Now, back to your request -- Instead of calling it a birthday, why not call it Another Happy Day in Paradise. Hawaii is a tropical paradise so, celebrate her being there instead of being there at that age.

All in all, I think 50 was the BEST year of my life! Oh yeah, I still had ups and downs in life, but because no one could ever believe I was 50 made it extra sweet..........then I turned 51 and I hate it. Somehow it sounds old now. But boy was 50 fun!
being 50 in Hawaii is like being 25 in (wherever she moved from ) LOL

Thanks everyone, I printed these all out and I'll let you all know what I end up with. I appreciate the help. My church is having a ladies retreat this weekend so I have no time to plan it out.
