I just put a chocolate sour cream almond wedding cake in the oven and I was intending to 1/2 the recipe as the one I have is for a 12x18 size pan... well I did all except the eggs. I should have used 3 but used 6!!!! Will it even turn out a cake TIA

I'm sorry, I have no idea what will happen if you have twice the eggs you need.

If it's a cake you can afford to take a chance on, bake it and see what happens.

If not, and it's not already baking, can you take the batter back out of the pan and add all the other ingredients to make the full recipe and then just bake half at a time? That way you will have 2 cakes and they will both be right. You could always freeze one for another time.

Good luck.

I'm with the pp if it's not too late. Eggs add structure, so you're cake might be tough. If it has already baked too long, let it go and just see how it is.
