Hi to you all! I have been on CC for a while and learned so much from you all - thanks!!

I have a problem and need your help ASAP. I just made a double batch of of the Wilton BC but in my haste I forgot the meringue powder. I thought I was all done and started to clean my mess and realized I didn't use any at all.

Can I add it now or can I go with out it? THis is my first paid cake - yikes!! what do I do?

thanks for your help

It will be fine without the meringue powder. Did you use crisco and butter or all butter? It will crust anyway and should be fine.

Ditto ... I use all Crisco in mine, and have never used meringue powder, and it crusts just fine. You'll be fine without the meringue powder. icon_smile.gif

The one reason you would need it was that when you have a red/black or some other dark bold color it won't bleed onto the white icined cake. I don't use it all the time myself and I am a WMI. You will be just fine without it.
