Hi everyone, is there some other product I can use on the edges of buttercream roses other than luster dust? I have a 50th anniversary cake this weekend. The cake is white and gold. I just want to outline the edges of the roses. I'll appreciate any ideas. Thanks! icon_confused.gif

I've never tried it but I've heard you can use non-toxic chalk.

You can get some 23-24Karat edible gold dust and paint the edges of the roses with the powder mixed with vodka, after the roses have crusted.
