Cake Extender Question

When using the recipe for the 'cake extender', do you use all-purpose flour? I know that's probably a very silly question but I've seen several posts that mention 'cake flour' and I've never actually seen it in a store. Thanks!~

AP Flour - just discussed last week........or cake flour + 2 T. THey sell cake flour near the other flours - it's in a box.

I always use all-purpose flour in the cake extender recipe.

I usually use all-purpose flour as well. I tried cake flour once and can't say that I noticed a difference.

Cake flour costs a bit more anyway. Here the only cake flour brand in most grocery stores is Swan's Down, in a red box that looks like it's straight out of the early 80s!

I use all purpose flour but once I used self rising because that's all I had. Cake seemed to come out fine.
