Has anyone made stand-alone 3-D Tulips? I cannot figure out hot to make them. I am trying to make the cake with all buttercream and royal frostings. I tried different tips and still can't ge tit right.

You could do them in a lily nail. Making sure that you do just three large petals (RI) standing up. Like making a Petuna in C3 Lesson 3 of Wilton classes. But only Three Petals. I know that they have six. But the three smaller ones on inside the bigger ones. And add stamins for Tulips in the center and let dry. I would use a 124 tip and don't make the icing lay on the lilly nail like the petunia but stand up above it. Does this make sense? I wish I could post pictures. Haven't had time to try here yet. Just post and read.

I have done them using those plastic Easter Eggs..the one where you put candy inside. But I made mine with Fondant.. maybe the piping would work that way also. tyr it. icon_smile.gif
