Okay so I am making a 3D Football for this weekend -- the finished football will sit on an 11 x 15 "field".

I have seen that at least one person has used the Wilton football pan and baked two and stuck together to get a 3D football --

What would be more solid? doing the two footballs and sticking them together with BC or carving the football out of rounds or ovals stacked?

If I put the footballs together should I stack one on top of the other (with a flat spot cut out of bottom of bottom half) or would you put them on their side and stick them together that way -- want to make sure I am as solid as I can be...

the football will be iced in BC.

I would put the two together on top of each other and then dowel and stack on the sheet cake.

I made one out of rice krispie treats covered in fondant. It was nice and light and easy to hand mold.

I definitely agree. I've been pondering the same question for making a purse/make-up bag, and am not too sure about keeping two verticle layers together. Janice
