Help, this morning I put my MMF flowers on floral wire and they just fold over. The wire isn't strong enough to hold them. They aren't think so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I bought those floral sticks. What should I use? I stuck them in the back of the flower. Is that what I'm supposed to do?

Any help would be appreciated.

I would use heavier gauge wire. The lower the number, the stiffer the wire will be. MMF flowers are really heavy, so you will need a heavy wire. I would put the wire into the bottom of the flower while it is still pliable and then give it plenty of time to dry...a few days at the least if you're using straight mmf with no gumpaste added.

I didn't know I needed to put gumpaste in the mmf so it's not really hardening well. I will buy thicker wire. Can I add merange powder to make it harden? I already have that at home.

Merange powder will not make it harden like gumpaste, sorry but it's just not the same.

Thanks, I thought it might because it made my frosting hard as a rock. I'll just have to go buy the gum paste.
