i was thinking about making my daughter a tinkerbell cake for her birthday...i did a practice 11x15 cake with tinkerbell on it it was beautiful...fbct...

then yesterday i was thinking what if i put more than one carhater on it that she liked....so i took wax paper....cut it the size of the cake pan and started drawing on it...i had 2 of the backyardiagains on the top left corner...the bottom left had charlie and lola on it the top right had dora and the bottom right had tinkerbell on it...and in the middle written pretty was happy birthday gabby....

i did all the drawings fbct ...even went to word art found a pretty font got it a good size traced it on my wax paper and make them fbct...

now the neat thing i like about drawing my pictures on the wax paper..is that all i do is turn it over and then it is in the reverse mod....lol

i am gonna go cake crazy making them now..

im already looking for a charlie brown thanksgiving picture to make on for thanksgiving...lol
now i have a 11x15 cake and have to make the real one this weekend...im gonna be so tired of cake...lol

thanks for all your help CC...
this is only the 2nd time ive ever tried to make a cake...if i knew where my cord was to my camera i would take a picture of it and show to everyone but will deffently show everyone the final cake though....somehow

I did a Tink last Saturday, but she was going to be cut out, like a shaped cake. Because she was going to be pretty big, we found her picture and made it like a poster with 6 sheets of paper. I then put it together, cut it out and covered the pattern with clear contact paper so I could use it again. I then put the pattern on the cake and cut the shape. We then iced the cake entirely first to set. Then came back and put all the features on free hand. I think she came out cute. Still in the camera so don't have it yet. I just love Tink.

I tried my first fbct last week and when I turned it over to put on the cake...

1. It half fell apart and I ended up trying to fix it

and

2. You could see all the lines from where I filled in the shape...

any way to fix this??
