Hello. I am doing my final course 3 cake. I am making my cake look like a tuxedo. It will be a stacked cake so I need a border idea for the top layer and I have no idea what to do. Help!

My thought - look at pics! the Wilton yearbook is a great place to look at what the tips can do. You might lok in the gallery but you might have trouble seeing the borders and then finding out which tip it is. Just whip up some icing and play a while!

I would keep the border simple and straigt lined, as the tuxedo is already an eye catching cake.

That sounds fun-- do you have to have a top border at all? If your icing is smooth around the top edge, I think it would look good to just do the bottom border (unless your class requires a top border). If that's the case, then I agree with the last post-- keep it very simple.

Thanks so much for your advice. I used a shell border and that turned out great. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of my cake. icon_redface.gif
