Hi - I charge $20 for each of my character shaped pans. They take more time to do and it's something that your average bakery won't do.
HTH!!

The reason why an average bakery won't do character pans is because you aren't allowed to sell ones like Tigger. They are for home/personal use only.

That being said, I know many people will make them and charge anywhere from $20 and up depending on design.

I personally will not be offering them for sale.

Yes, it is a violation of copyright to sell a copyrighted character without having obtained the rights. There is a thread on it here:

However! icon_smile.gif I used to do character cakes for my son when he was little, and those suckers take a LONG time -- not counting the physical therapy you need for your hand after making a bizillion stars to cover the thing lol icon_lol.gif I bet your ingredients and board/box cost at least $15, so I wouldn't charge a penny less than $50 for one.

I charge $45 for any novelty cake pan that Wiilton offers.

I no longer charge for them thanks to the folks here enlightening me on the legality of it.

I now will only do them for very good friends who have a child that I love almost as much as my own (which I can count on one hand with fingers left over thankfully). Thankfully most of their kids would rather have a really cool airbrushed small cake over a character pan now anyway.

If my son begs me to ever do one for him he's going to get a bag full of frosting with a star tip on it and will be helping decorate it. icon_biggrin.gif

Great idea thumbs_up.gif . My two are 7 and 5; I'll have to remember that.
