KlyKat, how do you get that "messy" look to your drizzle?? I have been using a squeeze bottle to decorate with a "design" with candy melts, but I like the look of those.
I'm not even sure what the tool is called. We call it a "drizzler" at work. It has a handle and a base with several long endings on it. Just dip it in the mixture and go back and forth above the cakeballs. I do this when they are still on the pan. HTH, K'ly
I'll make myself a note to get a pic of the drizzler and post it for ya.
OK, I got a couple of recipes I've used and everyone that's had them loved them.
Italian Cream (my version)-white cake mix crumbled and mixed with cream cheese (ready made), coconut and pecan pieces. Choc bark to coat
Choc cake mix crumbled and mixed with Nutella and coated with choc bark. Next time I plan on adding hazelnut pieces to the mix.
Choc-candy can (my holiday cake ball) choc cake mix crumbled and mixed with choc frosting, coconut, pecan bits and crushed candy cane (add as much as you want) and coated with choc bark. Then I took some of the crushed candy cane and sprinkled it on top of the coating while still wet.
Hope you all have a happy Thanksgiving. I will also be trying the toothpick method sticking it through the cooling rack but I think I will use a paper plate maybe lined with parchment paper to set the ball on so I don't get any grid marks on the bottom of my balls. Thanks to famousamos and mamakau. Can't wait to try it.
